Across her work in moving image, text, and collage, Sophia Al-Maria addresses the orientalist gaze and residual histories of colonialism in the context of contemporary culture and society. This exhibition brings together for the first time her trilogy of recent films along with collages and sculptural additions weaving throughout the installation, creating a multidimensional context in which to experience Al-Maria’s filmic trilogy.
